WTD 07 :corner:s
IF I get them...
I'm overly critical of everything (apparently my complaint about my Craptech exhaust was just typical of that exhaust..
WTF).... so we'll see...
I will concede one thing about the dragon that the ap1 had a legup on ... you could run a big chunk of it in 2nd gear.... but for me, i'd run out of rpms and bounce off the rev limiter, so i'd have to go into third, and shift again and again and again... even if i made it somewhat leisurely, it would still require me to downshift if i wanted to pull out of the corner. Having that extra rev would be nice for this situation.
having said that...
Not sure yet.....
I'm working out a few things for this to happen..

So not only now will you have an AP2, but also a 4.77 geared AP2.
This could be fun...

i've done the majority of dragon runs in the ap2..... but i've done quite a few with an ap1 as well...
i'll be curious to see how it turns out...
and tony (i think that's your name), part of my deal with getting the 4.77s is if i don't like them, i can have my oem parts put back in at 0 cost.
A. The car is made to be shifted and stay in VTEC without gears. If you are dropping out of VTEC while shifting you are doing something wrong.
B. Chad - I had 4.56's and never installed them after hearing about all the buzz from the diff from the first batch and sold them.

Also once VTEC engages if you shift hard and fall slightly under 6k rpm it won't drop out of the engagement that quick, just because you are shifting and hitting slightly under 6k on a shift doesn't mean you are shifting out of VTEC.

it does feel like i'm a half a gear off when i'm in the twisties, but i'm too lazy to contantly downshift and upshift so i just take it easy
if i go faster, it's harder to relax and listen to the music, plus my palms get sweaty
but grippier front tires might motivate me to drive faster
