Default AEM CAI V1 filter issues....

Hi everyone, I was getting my car ready for paint and with the front bumper off I figured I would take the filter off and clean/relube it. When I pulled it off, it was completely saturated with water to a point that it had a puddle under it when I left it sit.

Anyone else have issues like this or have a fix to keep the water out of the filter? looking for ideas...

There are a couple topics about that, do a search for CAI hood/umbrella/cover etc. Basically there is a water drain hole for the hood that is directly above it, so all the water that goes down the side of the hood drains onto your filter.

The solution is basically half a plastic flower pot and a custom bracket to make it work as an umbrella to shield the filter from the water. Or else you can plug the hole and let the water flow off/drain elsewhere. There are some cons to the plug but I don't remember what.

no, I don't think it's that, I know this was sucking up water before I vented the hood. So when are you getting your's done?
