Default Cusco cage question

Im considering buying a 7pt cusco cage along with seats w/rails, and harnesses.

Was wondering if anyone around here has a 6pt or 7pt in their s that i could sit in and see how much leg room you lose and such im 6'2 170lbs so im just trying to get an idea. Its a pretty big decision to me so i want to be fully satisfied before going ahead and making the purchase.

Any particular reason you want to go w/ cusco.... they dont meet the standards needed to do a track day or anything? Id think you would be better off with a cage that meets the standards

I believe your seat rail needs to be about 3-4 clicks forward. If you drive in the winter, don't forget that you wear thicker jackets, it pushes you even closer to the steering wheel. If you're comfortable with that then you're good to go. Lowering your seats helps a bit also.

I'm 6', 180 lbs and have a 4-pt cusco. I fit fine but then again my seat is 2" lower.

What seats do you have with the lower rails?

Also i was curious about the 6-7pt cause besides moving my seat up for the harness bar they also take up leg room and really wanted to know how bothersome that is.

OEM seats, modified a bit. My seat cushion is touching the carpet all the way. I don't think I could lower it anymore than that. LOL

Bothersome? Your passenger will hate you.

I had a cusco 6 pt w/o the harness bar in my S for about a week. HATED IT! im a solid 5'11 and i felt as through i was confined to a point of discomfort. I ended up selling it to a guy in NY, sorry i couldnt help you out for a tester, but thats just my opinion. I also hated how i had to sit further up.

4 point here. I'm only 5'6" so less of an issues for me but it is noticeable on the passenger side.

Well at least if you buy a 7 point and if you don't like it I'd be willing to take it off of your hands

You going Cusco or Safety 21?
