Cusco if i get it and dont like it will you take it for 50-100 off? Lol id even personally deliver it lol
I always wanted the safety one. Black would be nice in my car Cage is on of the last mods I need to buy. I still think you should go 4 or 5 point, you have to worry about your passenger when you have a cage.

Yea but i lose room having the harness bar anyhow and the most dangerous part of the cage is the one right by your head so im think of just going all out and getting the full cage.

I agree... a cage only belongs in an all out track car... and a cusco cage doesnt meet the standards for an all out track/W2W car... thus by my logic is just a waste of money

if you dont get a cage - def get seats - besides the exhaust it was the best modification i did to my car. I got a Bride VIOS and damn that thing was AWESOME! I'm 5'8'' and i put it all the way to the ground, made it hard to go back to OEM, i felt like i was in a miata.
It was a full bucket seat so every turn you just stuck in your seat. I'm also 165 and ~ 34 waist and it was a perfect tight fit in the seat so if youre much bigger try one out before you buy. Gino has the same seat i had - once i find out where he lives im gonna have one in my R

The Cusco cage is a bunch of really horrible ideas all rolled up into one. Fair warning.

The Cusco debate will never die. The die hard track junkies will always feel its a waste of cash and the JDM enthusiast will always consider it a must have modification.

We don't need to go anywhere near the fact that it's a crap design compared to a proper cage. First glaring problem is that people are putting a damn cage in a street car just to show off at the local parking lot meet. Compounding an already bad idea is that I've never seen a single person with padding on theirs. I mean, come on, a street car with a cage without any padding on it. Would these same people drive around holding a sledgehammer next to their head?

On a pure street car, spend the money on some nice tires or something. A rollbar and harness is a bit much, plus using a harness on the street gets old real quick, and you're not able to move around to check your surroundings (parking lots, etc.)

Mine is a street/track car. I've got the Hard Dog bar with the removable diagonal and harness bar, plus the lap and sub belts clip in. When I'm on the street, there's nothing in my car but the main hoop of the rollbar (which has padding on it).

On a track-only car, obviously you gut the interior and put a custom cage in it.

But really, when someone gets to the point of "But I'll look super cool at the parking lot meets and on teh interwebz" is when we've lost the point to rationally explain things and they go off and do all kinds of crazy stuff. It's just that when it's safety equipment we're talking about that's designed to work as a complete system and not "ooh, I'll take this and that, but not that" is when the potential for more harm than good comes about.

Sure, the track crowd might enjoy ruffling the street crowd's feathers every now and then for not stepping up and really learning what it is to push a driver and car and how to do it. One thing is for certain however: the track crowd knows their shit when it comes to safety, and it's something they'd dare not screw with.
