Default Fluid Opinions

looking to get some feedback from the owners in the area, since we all get to experience the ever changing weather.

This upcoming weekend, pending I order/receive everything on time, I plan on changing the oil, diff and tranny fluid. Im debating between the following and would like some feedback:

Oil: Mobil 1 / Maxlife Syn
Tranny: Honda MTF / GM Synchro Mesh
Diff: LE607 / Mobil 1

The car is not tracked, and is a daily driver.

Having just completed all of those changes myself, here's what I'm running (with great success and enjoyment, IMA)...

1. Engine oil - Mobil 1 10w30 with Purolator Pure One filter
2. Trans - GM Synchromesh Friction Modified
3. Differential - Mobil 1 75w90

I could not be happier with the choices. The nice thing is that all of these fluids are readily available. You can get the Mobil stuff from almost anywhere, and I got the GMSMFM from the local Cadillac dealer. The other "best tool ever" I got was an $8 fluid pump from Autozone. I never spill a drop when I do these changes, and it takes maybe 45 mins for all of them.

Good choices Clayman and they are all readily available which is important to me too. I would never want to "order" fluids.

What tranny oil do you guys recommend for the 04+'s with the new syncros?

You can use the same thing as the pre-04's. There was some speculation as to the effectiveness of regular fluids on the carbon synchros, but RR himself proved it was a non-issue. Actually, his signature says he's running GMSMFM in his '04 trans, so how can you argue with that?
