I just came from getting my car inspected and I failed! I do have the Invidia exhaust on my car and I know its loud . When I went I forgot to put the silencers on. So a few questions:
1. Will the silencers help me pass?
2. What is the deal with them failing me with the code "Exhaust too loud?"
3. Is there a decibel reading they use to know weather to pass or fail?

All states have a vehicle noise code. It's somewhere around 90-95db at moderate load. If you exceed this, they'll probably fail you.

 

that sucks...i was gonna get a single spugen to set car alarms off for fun...remind me to keep my stock exhaust just in case..

 

who inspected the car? I wouldn't take it back to the same place

 

The place in Deptford. I think im just going to put the silencers on and go to a different one. If not, I got a guy that does it for 60.00

95dbs is the max limit aloud, of course your not going to pass.

You have to be in the 105 - 115 db area.

 

What do you think the DB range is with the silencers on?
