I dont think they check emissions anymore also. They dont put anything in the tail pipe and neither in the gas cap. I dont have a test pipe so I just have to go again.

motocycles have differnt db laws than cars do because i thought the same thing when i was down at bike week riding with my friends who have bikes that are loud as hell so i asked them

 

 

If that is the case, I suspect the motorcycle DB limit is set just above the "brain damage" threshold.

 

hmm, i never check exhaust decibels because we don't have a tester for it. and we have only had one really loud car in the shop in the 7 years i have been there. only way i would think we could do that would be to call in a state trooper or auditor. does your state have obd testing? we do in most of pennsylvania and we go through with the test even if the check engine light is on. if it passes everything else but still has the light on it fails until that code is cleared and all the monitors are run

 

got to love invidia exhaust just sold mine lol.

 

I have to get mine inspected sometime this month...just put in bumper plugs a couple weeks ago, so I'm wondering if anyone else w/plugs has gotten inspected and passed w/no problem? Or should I put on my front plate for inspection?
