Default Might be moving

Hey everyone me and my +1 are thinking of moving down to south Jersey. I have friends that live in Woodbury and I was just wondering if anyone could give me some ideas as to where to look for a nice house. We might both be working in Philly so I don't want our commute to be crazy no more the 1hr with traffic. We really don't want to spend more the 450k but would like a min of 3 beds 2 baths and at least 1 car garage. So post up some ideas for me. Thanks in advance

There are some nice (but older) houses for sale in my development in Cherry Hill. There's a nice one around the corner from us on a quiet street that's going for $375k.

It has one of the biggest back yards in the neighborhood.

I forget whether it's 3 or 4 bedrooms.

It needs updating inside, and the back yard needs some work.

That's just a sample, plenty more out there. Remember to take property taxes into account. You can easily pay $10k+ per year around us.

Cherry Hill is very nice if you can afford the taxes.

Ducmann's gonna be my neighbor

Woodberry is nice, but it all depends on what section and where. My gf's dad lives their off of 45 and cooper street. Its nice, but hes fixing his house up and every thing has to be done to code.

I personally like haddonfield and haddon heights. I want to move to one of those towns when im ready.

Yeah, Haddonfield's nice, but if you think Cherry Hill taxes are high, forget Haddonfield!

My friend bought an older house in Haddonfield about 8 years ago and fixed it up. It's on maybe 1/8 acre, and she pays $24k/yr in property tax.

I don't feel sorry for her, because she bought four houses in Haddonfield back when they were cheap, and sold three of them at the market peak. She made about $1.5 million profit on them, plus whatever she made while renting them.

Haddonfield, though very nice, is outrageous. You can find some decent condos around there from what I understand and Cherry Hill is a nice alternative.

How far away from Philly are all these places? I appreciate all the feedback. But she doesn't want a town house or a condo. It really couldn't matter less to me. I just really want a 2 car garage . It would also be nice to be in a cul de sac so that I could have a Tech day . Well I think were gonna be heading down there on the 17th to look at a few nieghborhoods so keep the suggestions coming Thanks again everyone

Both CH and Haddonfield are ~10 minutes away from the city. Both are right across the Ben Franklin Bridge.
