Thanks for your nomination and part self-petitions. I'm guessing that elections will be coming shortly.

I would consider myself senior in the above statements. I don't disagree with them. I do agree with Gary, CO shouldn't be based upon demographics. It needs to be based upon who is going to to the most effective job.

I'm definitely more than capable to set the example for the new CO's and guide then to better the community.

Once my car is done we I have some things planned, but not having the car on the road hasn't really affected me being a CO though.

[QUOTE=Heyitsgary,Feb 4 2009, 08:07 AM] .....I say we continue on the path we are on and let the community pick the best candidates based on the nominations brought up.

I agree with you Frank. Meets are posted and organized via the forum. A CO can help with the organization of that meet from anywhere. Now some of the larger meets and drives have a lot of planning behind the scenes in that specific area of DelVal, but a CO can still assist in that too.

For example, I'm working on setting up a group drive in the WC/LWG area for the spring/summer. There's no reason why a CO who is located in the LV area couldn't help me do the planning. I think we need to pick the best 3 for the job regardless of where they reside.

We CO's that will help lead ALL of DelVal, not just their local section. Just my .02

100% and I promise to do my best to assist with everything I can if I am elected no matter on the location

Yes that is me on my avatar. Thought it'd be a good idea to put a face to a name. But I'm prettier in my photoshopped pictures than in real life, so don't be too alarmed when you see me with a pizza pimpled face. jkjk.

*chuckles* What can I do to assist you for your Longwood Gardens drive?

My personal goal, CO or not is for at least a drive once a month, though I'm personally biased towards things in the LV to get things moving here... no offense to the southern folks, of course.

But yes, you make a fantastic point about best capable being those that can assist regardless of their location. That may or may not be me, so I'd recommend that everyone vote wisely. Perhaps I speak from a very limited perspective and need some eye opening, but I bring up the question, in what concrete ways other than behind the scenes collaboration/organization and rallying of people on and off the boards, could someone like myself in the LV do for your drive?

I believe geography is largely in part of the reason why there was a big push for 3 COs.
