Philly SCCA Schedule
^^^ John, you actually cannot autoX the xB at an SCCA event anymore. The original xBs are on the SCCA stock vehicle exclusion list because they have displayed a tendancy to go up on two wheels in autoX situations. I think the new, big, heavy xB is still OK - though IIRC, you have the older style...

DANG! I heard of that for some small suv's but didn't pay that close attention. I also thought that they could run but not with R-comps, I guess not. I have 480 treadwear tires so I know it will slide before it goes on 2 wheels but oh well.
I heard back from our Safety Chief, and he says no on the xB - regardless of what tires are on it, it's still on the exclusion list. And it would jeopardize the event insurance if they let someone run one.
Yeah the exclusion list is mostly SUVs and 4x4 trucks. But the xb is one of the few non-truck-based vehicles on it...

Thanks for checking Andy. I guess I'll have to share a vehicle. My brother and his Mini or EJO and his S or I might have to take you up on your offer but I know your car is fast and it might bruise my ego when you are faster than me
For those that are new to autoX, or just want to take an excellent car control course there is a Novice School that will be held August 23 and 24. The 23rd is the classroom session, and the 24th is the driving instruction part of the school. You should attend both days. This is the 3rd and final novice school for this year.
