Default Philly SCCA Schedule

I've been wanting to do AutoX for quite some time but was lacking motivation and time. This year I'd like to make as many as I can. I'm sure there are a few seasoned X-ers on the board. Can you post some pointers to running a season?
Hopefully this turns into something real instead of just blowing smoke.

Here's the schedule from phillyscca.com
Maybe we can have a meet on one of these dates.

I'm always there for all the Philly region events. I run a red 00 in A Stock. If you are new to autoX, come and find me at one of our events and I'll show you around.

I am also usually a driving instructor at the Novice schools too. If are interested in the Novice schools, you need to sign up as early as possible because they will fill up very fast. IMHO, the novice schools are very valuable if you are new to AutoX - Or even if you don't care about autoX but just want to learn at-or-near-the-limit car control basics in a safe environment.

^^^ Our Winter Series normally starts in January and runs through April. But we lost our Ripkien Stadium site, where we have run the winter series events the past few years, on short notice late last fall. So no winter series this year. Hopefully it will be back an 2009. There is nothing more fun than autoX in the snow!

This is a GOOD idea! I recommend this but with 1 caveat-----------you might turn your car into a race car in the years to come.

I started Auto-x in 04 and met Andy shortly there after. If you want to learn how to go fast in auto-x, ask Andy.

I won't be able to make any of these with my S2000 but I might bring out the Hella-scion xb to kick some A$$! . I'll get some R-comps on there and show you what 100Hp can do!

May and June dates look good for me.

PS I have a set or 2 of 17"Kumho V710 R-comps that would bring down someone's lap time for sale.

^^^ JFO, if you ever want to co-drive mine, just let me know. You should come down and see the Warminster site. It's AWESOME. It's a huge WW2 training airstrip.

Thanks man, I might take you up on the offer! I know it will help to keep the tires warm with a co-driver.

Yeah, I'm thinking Warminster is closer to me than Boeing but I will mapquest it to be sure. Either site--May and June look good for me, heck even April 20th, I don't have much racing going on when auto-x is scheduled.

Who else is in and what date can we get a good showing of people to come out?
