an autobacs over here?

that would be the shiznit. i would drive 30 miles to go to one(hopefully it would be closer). if its like any other autobacs, they carry good high quality shit. you can see the gagare from the second story window, while they are working on your car. hell, they keep wheels, i.c.e., tires and all kinds of other cool parts in stock. and the guys that work there really know there stuff, and really know the cars.

i heard that autobacs in japan even does motor swaps

im down for an autobacs, and i have a few friends who are import nuts who would be down with that also

for a kick-ass idea. ive been wishing for one over hear ever since i heard about the one being built in cali

I hate you. I have been telling everyone I know about Super Autobacs and how we should look into establishing one on the east coast. I wasnt sure or not if they offer franchises.

Anyway, I was talking to some people and they have been telling me how Autobacs USA is pretty much going to go bankrupt. The store requires too much over head. IMO a big shop like Autobacs brings all its money in from labor on parts installs. You dont make much money on parts unless you buy them in high numbers.

Anyway, if your serious about getting this going let me know. I dont have money now, but this is seriously something I have been thinking about.

ok will do. are their any other areas that would be good for this?
Location is the key. Autobacs would have to be near a major highway for example, like the turnpike. You cant have people trying to drive through towns. You need something right off of the NJ turnpike, preferably in an old parts warehouse or industrial park.

Main thing is you have to find out if Autobacs offers a franchise, the royalities and fees involved, and if they help you get it going at all. I highly doubt its going to be cheap. Im pretty sure it would be cheaper to fill a container up with JDM parts and then make a site and sell them. You have to start off small..

Guedo, I think you are right about the part of having alot $$$ overhead, and man, you do have to find some really good techs that know imports really good, you don't want to get bad rep. I wish you luck with the Idea, and if you guys do start it, I'll work there for free as long as I get discounts on JDM stuff,

Im sure autobacs supplies their own techs, or has some type of school for techs. their not going to have their name deminished, thats probably why they dont franchise publicly.
