Default Snap oversteer got me

I went to go wash the S at one of those do it yourself car washes for one last time before I put it away for the winter. I finished washing it and left the the parking lot at moderate acceleration and the rear came out from under me quickly and I couldn't recover it. I ended up running into a curb head on and ripped off the left inner fender liner and cracked my newly painted front bumper. Doesn't appear to be any suspension damage. It does track straight on the highway. I'll put it on the alignment rack in the spring when I put the new fender liner and bumper on. Overall I consider myself lucky, it could have been much worse. And now I know to leave a little slower next time. Funny thing is I have tried to make the car do it intentionally in a semi controlled environment and never could. I guess that's why it is called "snap" oversteer, it hits you when you least expect it

Yeah the car seems to be ok. Just cosmetic. My pride it hurt more than the car. Lol

Yeah I guess you are right. Wet tires and cold road are not really snap oversteer. But never the less it still sucked and scared the crap out of me.

No reason to be upset, cosmetic damage, and I think you would be hard pressed to find someone that hasn't done it, more than once. It's a twitchy one.
