Just wondering....Did you actually place the order? I have a great tire wholesaler I deal with. If you want me to check it out for you I'd be happy to. Just let me know what Brand and sizes? I'll know in 5 minutes.

Thanks! Ok here's what I want:
Kumho Ecsta v700 competition size 225 50 16 Tire rack says $133 each and I need 6 of them.
I really wanted the Yokohama A032 but they are $172 each. So I will be going with the Kumho's.

Make sure you know what you are getting into with those tires. I was going to order 4 V700s not shaved and the guy told me a bunch of things I didn't know so I canceled the order.

1. They are rated for 2000 miles of use if not shaved
2. They are rated for 1000 miles if shaved
3. If you use them on the street when they heat up the sidewalls can bubble and pop
4. It is highly recommended for dry use to get them shaved for autocross or road coarses/ Drag racing.
5. For that kinda money if you are going for a race only tire. I would rather get a nice set of slicks or DOT legal Hoosiers.

Yelo,
Thanks for trying. I'm gonna get them in the next month or two, so I'm gonna see if tire rack will cut me a deal if I include a friends order too. If not I might take you up on that offer.

Nate,
I think your info is incorrect. I have used those tires and have gotten about 15k on them. That is with 3 autocrosses and lots or squirrel runs. Unshaved is for street useage since that helps in the rain the best. If they are for the track or strictly autocrossing, tire rack recomends shaving. They are rated for about 5k miles but I rotated and got more life from them, but I do run them down to the end. Gennaro got a lot of miles out of his too, in fact he was the reason I got them cause he had nothing bad to say.

Hmm maybe the guy was messing with me. He was telling me all these bad things about them on the street. Oh well good luck with them. Let me know how they work out for you. I am looking for a DOT legal street tire that is really sticky.
