Top up, hideous.

Top down, gorgeous.

Nice find, this is a great looking car. I didn't realize Boxster S was up to 310bhp - 320bhp. Hear that sound? The sound of used 997s dropping in value.

I'm surprised neither of you commented on it's profile with the rag top up!

Honestly I think I'd rather add another 100lbs and try to get an aluminum top in there, or something.

I'm not sure what it is though. It just looks odd on the profile shot. The part of the soft top over the back part of the side windows doesn't look quite right.

Maybe the height of the trunk deck compared to the roof profile is it? Those goofy pods don't help the profile with the top up either.

If one showed in my driveway of course, I'd take it.

I actually reeeally like the pods when the top is down, however I think they should have looked to Ferrari for some "inspiration" with how to deal with them when the top goes up. The f430 has a similar body style, though the top seats much cleaner when up.

The power to weight ratio got me so excited, I became blind to the appearance of the top.

Its hard for a fellow motorist to see the appearance of your new Boxster S spyder and cast an insult if they can't keep up with you.

Gorgeous and fast. Pricing will be in the Cayman price range by the time you add the extras which Porsche gouges you for. The Cayman S is a better performer, I believe, but it doesnt come in a convertible. If I could afford it I could live with the top.

I'm not feeling it. I'm amazed at how right they are when they say on Top Gear that Prosche makes great cars, but their design sense isn't there. Everything always look the same or is a tweaked/ modified version. They need to just do a full re design on some of their models.
