Default Vandalism HELP

Hey guys, sorry i didn't make it out to the five guys/ritas meet, i walked outside to get in my car and come and found out that it was keyed down the entire drivers side. For those who didnt know, i JUST GOT THIS CAR BACK from the shop 3 days ago for someone tossing a boulders at the windshield and side of the car.

Now i filed a police report for that incident, and went through insurance (erie), thank god they covered it and only charged me $50 deductible because it was 'vandalism', but that is only covered for a single occasion apparently. Now on the side that has brand new doors, and was just repainted (i could smell the paint when i picked the car up), i have a pinstripe from front fender to back, so deep that the coat particles were still sitting on in before i brushed them off.

I understand that i live in philly, and that it is a rough place for any car...but clearly im being targeted. Does anyone have suggestions on how i should go about this, should i bother filing another police report and giving it to insurance again? Any suggestions on how to sstop this?

Damn, was this the S or the Fit? Is there someone you may have pissed off lately? You may have to think really hard.

Damn JJ...sorry to hear this. Maybe get a car cover for it? But if anything they'll resort to other methods...

I don't know man...ask around and see, if it's someone you pissed off they may be bragging about it and you might eventually hear about it.

I feel for you, I've been egged before and had a window smashed. Makes you wanna kill someone

that sucks man...yeah id keep filing police reports because eventually they will get tired of doing the paper work and step up coverage in your area until it stops...as for ins. go get yourself a quote to fix first....if you have the cash do it that way so its over and done with...if not claim it again...definately look into a garage of some sort to park it in.

Keep your cars at home and buy a road bike.

I'd booby trap my car enough so that anyone trying to mess with it will get a finger or arm cut off. Question is... what is an effective booby trap?

I agree with other posters. Keep on filing police reports. It may help to stake out your car after you fix it again or at least keep a hidden video camera around to give it 24 hr surveillance to generate potential leads. I doubt whomever is vandalizing your car is doing it with much stealth. Who knows, it could be your neighbor. =P

Time lapse VCRs are around 250-350+ new and hopefully you have a video camera laying around or one that you can borrow. I just looked up on ebay and there are some timelapse vcrs are low as $30-40 buy it nows and from 90-150 and up...

Sorry JJ, sounds like some of this damage (and previous) is intentional. I agree with Howard and would think hard about who could possibly be after your car, or want to piss you off because it seems to be working. Was this at home? Or away?
