Sorry JJ, sounds like some of this damage (and previous) is intentional. I agree with Howard and would think hard about who could possibly be after your car, or want to piss you off because it seems to be working. Was this at home? Or away?
I'm pretty sure vandalism is considered a comprehensive claim with most insurance companies, meaning it's not a chargable claim, and won't make your rates go up.
it definantly sounds like someone doesn't like you, and seems to be taking it out on your car.
do alot of drunks walk by where you live? maybe you have some angry drunks around the area that like to vandalize nice cars. It happened at WCU...
I'd try and get a garage or something... good luck, and I'm sorry it happened.

i feel your pain. i had to park my cars in center city for almost twenty years. EVERY single car i've ever owned was either vandalized (regardless of type or value of the car) or hit while parked. and it's difficult finding indoor, secure garages in the city. my last garage charged almost $200/month, and wasn't even 24hrs, pretty annoying when you come home after hours
i agree with an earlier post about surveillance cameras. if you park in the same spot most times, it may be feasible.
good luck

Whoever is doing this is a coward. Rather than confronting you head on, they're damaging your car.
Unfortuntely it's going to come down to luck to find whoever is doing this. And even if you do find them and retaliate, it may just aggrevate the situation even more. I'm betting they know you from school or social networking sites. I'd post it on facebook/myspace and make up some sob story about it. Who knows, someone might know something and message you.
I've been randomly vandalized before and just come to the conculsion that people are just bitter. Lifestyles and profile may aggrevate people even more.
