Default Windshield Replaced

THIS WAS POSTED IN CAR TALK BY ME:
So I bought my second S2000 with a cracked windshield, but other than that (and needing a bath) it was in excellent condition, original owner, and only had 48,000 miles!! Not to mention the price I got it at was BEYOND awesome. Needless to say the crack in the windshield was a hideous bruise on an otherwise beautiful machine.

Fast Forward: I decided it might be time to sell the S2000 (for the second time) and wanted to replace the windshield. Made appointment at SAFELITE, took note of mileage, left car, came back in 1.5 hours to a beautiful new windshield with nice new molding!!! They did a great job and it only totaled $250 installed, the glass is VERY clear, no waves or scratches.

NOW i can't decide whether or sell or keep it haha. I love this car (obviously, its my second one), but you only live once and I'm interested in trying a different flavor... something with either metal snail, or a V8. If i land the right job I might just buy a WRX/STI for a daily.

SO:

I just wanted DelVal to know I went to Safelite in Cherry Hill, NJ (near the Cherry Hill Mall), they were professional, quick, and didn't take my car for a spin while I was gone. The car looks SOOOO much better and was WELL worth the $250

CHEERS

thanks for posting, i've been considering a new windshield since they dont seem that expensive. Mine has so many little pock marks from rocks that even when I clean it, it still looks dirty.

I took a decent rock a few weeks ago about 1/3 from the right pillar. About a quarter in size. Since I have a track day coming up, I probably need to get it replaced. I'll poke around here for a local shop.

Safelite should come right to your house.
They did for me when I got the windshield replaced in my van.

$25 fee, Cherry Hill is down the street from me and it was a beautiful day so I drove to them! With tax totaled like $266 or something. MADE a world of difference!! Now I'll need to slap the stock wheels back on and see if I get close to my asking price, then I'll probably post my TE37's for sale, at an even cheaper price!!

I had my rearview mirror release at Spring Fling in Hagerstown a few weeks back. Safelite in Hagrestown fixed free of charge and did it really quick. They seem to have a good ethic at a corporate level.

Just a heads up: my mechanic told me some tecs do not prime the area under the molding as the paint gets scraped, then you get rust. He advised against safelite. My windsheild needs replacing and my wallet says not yet!
