I was 8 when Star Wars was released and I remember feeling like a whole new world was opened with that movie.
I felt the same exact thing after seeing this movie in 3d. I've always been a sucker for movies exploring the ideas of far off worlds / races / planets and this one really pulled me in. I've been thinking about pandora non-stop since I saw the film the other day.

Even my GF liked the movie (it really has a little something for everyone)

Just an FYI, the movie's now at $623.6 million worldwide after a record-breaking $75.6million domestic second weekend (beating The Dark Knight's $75.2 million). It dropped only 2% from it's first weekend. It's looking like a pretty solid #2 on the highest grossing movies list.

Good film. Entertaining in IMAX. I don't think it was as good as starwars.

What Jim Cameron did was make a movie/format that will bring people back to the theater to buy farking 15 dollar or more tickets. The movie would not be near as fullfilling in 2d or on a small screen.

Saw it in 2D the other week.

The story was good/better than average. It was visually stunning to me and I like all the little nuances in the film. I will probably go see this again in 3D before it leaves the theatre.

Saw the IMAX version. Amazing visuals but the "(un)friendly fire" was a turn-off for me plus we're still using rotorcraft in 2154?

watched the movie this weekend in 3d, enjoyed it very much.

Action - 10
CGI - 9
Concept/Originality - 1

Its a modern sci-fi remake of the 1990 movie "dances with wolves".
