Default black sea

Usually any story with a submarine, dead Nazi sailors, a sunken treasure and an ironic ending make for a decent film. I do enjoy submarine movies, action films, and adventures that have action in them.

What a great, although not quite novel, concept for a story:get a very used (Russian) sub in poor repair, a group of rag tag losers who have salt water in their blood, and go search for long ago lost treasure aboard a sunken but perfect preserved WW2 German U boat. Have those guys who cannot speak the same language and do not get along fix up the sub in record time and go search for the ill gotten loot. Supposedly this $$ was a pay off from Stalin to Hitler not to start WW2 with them and it never got there....

It's gold and plenty of it, and so far so good. Except... the story goes south from there, sinking into dark oblivion as they submerge to the point that not only can you predict what may come next but you loose interest in the story and characters...Jude law is in it, sorry for him.

I have to give it a 1 outta 10 cause there have been better uses of this sad story line, such as Hell and High Water or that poorly done Frank Sinatra film (assault on a queen)to name a few.
