I downloaded it and my girlfriend and I watched it at home the other day. I thought she'd appreciate it since she's from a military family.

My thoughts? It had the potential to be a very moving story if executed well. Fortunately (since I didn't feel like sobbing at a movie) it was not done very well, IMO, and was a let down for my girlfriend who had high expectations.

The only person you really connect with or feel bad for, is the dad.
