I saw Gamer about a week ago and well, I wasn't very impressed. the action scenes were really intense, and that was rather enjoyable/entertaining. Gerard Butler is also a badass, and that really helped with his character. The plot and story though... felt shaky and a whole lot of it didn't even come close to making sense. I found myself unable to control my suspension of disbelief and on numerous occasions thought "why? failure" as the story unfolded, especially at the end when they turned off the nanites in everyone's brains.

Its a shame...I was really wanting this movie to be good. It has been getting pretty lame reviews...I'll wait for it on DVD rental.

This type of storyline is getting played out. Prisoners/Killers in some "game" or show to win their freedom. Anyone watch "Deathrace" or another gem, "The Condemned"(awful movie even though Stone Cold Steve Austin should be given the chance to play in more)
