Default Gone Girl

I couldn't find an s2ki review yet, so here is mine.

I thought i had rented Interstellar, but when the credits started, surprise! Gone Girl, the Ben Affleck thriller.

To start, this is based on a book by some author. My wife read the book, hated it so much she gave it to her cousin, who hated the book too and then just left it at the resort on vacation for some other hapless person to find and also be disappointed.

Not reading the book, I had no preconceived thoughts, except everyone I had talked to said they really liked the movie. And i am no different. I really liked the movie. There were some unanswered questions, especially the ending, which opened the door for a sequel.

By about 1/2 way through, you kinda figure things out. At times, you'll think you have it figured out, but you don't. I was hoping for some vengeful resolution- but it didn't happen. If you're into music, music can be sharp or flat. The music in the movie really kept me on edge (more of a disjointed flat theme to the music) and there really wasn't any "yay, we're all happy, we solved all the world's ills, and now things are all wonderful" moment.

There is nakedness and you get to see several packages, Ben's included. If that's your thing. Not there's anything wrong with that. I'm sure Mr. Skin can tell you where all good parts are.

So all in all, an enjoyable watch. I give it an 8/10.
