Just watched Room with my wife. For those who want to know, this is a joint Canadian/Irish picture filmed in Toronto, but the movie takes place in Ohio- it got quite a bit of press at the Globes and Oscars.

All in all, this is an excellent book based drama- its about a young 17 yr old woman, who was kidnapped and held for 7 years. She has a 5 year old son by her captor. She is forced to live in an 11x11 insulated and serviced shed with only a skylight view of the outside world. An interesting perspective in that her world was taken from the vast world she knew, to a small prison. Her son knew nothing else but this small world. There's much more to the movie, but its spectacularly acted. Its a slower drama and worth the accolades it received.

So, i give this an 8/10.
