Default In the Shadown of the Moon

I remember that I got to stay up past midnight to see Neil Armstrong walk on the Moon. I can't wait to see this documentary. I had a Saturn 5 model that was as tall as I was!

In the Shadow of the Moon

This movie was everything it was supposed to be. Maybe a little slow after they got to the moon, but they kept the drama and tension throughout even though we already know the ending. This is not an action movie, it does not feature "MTV style' editing but the stories they told were moving.

Alan Bean (4th man on the moon) told about his reaction when he was told that they had "lost the Apollo One crew" He kept saying to the guy on the phone, "maybe they're at the beach house" "No we lost the crew to a flash fire in the capsule"

Gene Cernan talked about how they practiced taking over the Saturn 5 during the ascent stage if the gyros malfunctioned, "I could control the most powerful machine ever built by man with my right hand, we practiced it so much, I was daring the machine to fail!"

At the end of the movie during the credits, the astronauts talked about the various conspiracy theories, "if we faked... why would be fake it NINE times"

This was a great movie, one I'll definately by buying when it comes to DVD!
