Temple Grandin
This is a great little film WEll cast well directed and well written. This is a story about an autistic woman who becomes facinated with the cattle slaterhouse process...I know it sounds strange, and it is a bit. This is more of a human interest story than a chick flick. You can bring your significant other to this and score points for how sensative you are...I give it a 8 outta 10 for being original, having a great performance by Claire, and a realistic script. It is based on a true story.
The movie is basically based on the books “Emergence” by Temple Grandin and Margaret Scariano, and “Thinking in Pictures” by Ms. Grandin. I am glad that i watched it, when many people thought she would amount to little or nothing, she kicked them in the chops and kept going. I think any parent who has a child or children who are different but not less ;-) regardless of what they are disgnoised with should definitely see this film.
Dr Temple Grandin is one of the leading minds in the field, her research has produced increases in facility production and quality of product... her moive is inspiring.. I give that movie a good 8 out of 10 and I give her 100 outta 10.. outside of her field of study an more inline with her own autisim, she has given hope to familys who before her, had limited or no recourse.. you can ask her questions on her web site, an as far as I am aware she is still a professor at Colorado State...
