i dont know why people are getting so involved into reviewing this movie.

Personally I only saw it for the special effects. Thats the sole point of watching a movie like this.

Obviously the acting is bad, so is the storyline, so is the character development, so are the lines, so is everything else. This isnt a "good" film by any means, its just eye candy. Are you seriously expecting anything more?? This IS a kids film, you guys DO realize that right?

All that said, i came out of the theatre exactly how I thought I would: impressed by special effects and disgusted by everything else.
I'm not sure Michael bays direction with the film was entirely focused for children,as some of the naval battles scenes are pretty graphic in showing soldiers dying, aswell as the Middle east+Marines dying kinda remind you of whats going on in the real world,I personally wouldn't take any kid under 12 to see it.

Saw it on IMAX yesterday. I like it. Not the best movie, but entertaining and fun to watch on the GIant screen.

I gotta say that honestly, after the battle between optimus and megatron, I wasn't impressed by any of the action. The beginning was great but the middle and end were boring. I really wanted to see more robot vs robot...
what happened to the twins anyways? I mean I guess we should assume they got killed by the giant constructicon thing?
the last fight between optimus and the prime guy was, for me, disappointing.
I also didn't like how in the end the marines were fighting and holding their own against the decepticons when all they had were rifles. I'm pretty sure they woulda got ran over. I really wanted to see the autobots hand to hand those guys.

Just saw it finally and.... the first one is better by far. Don't get me wrong I was entertained by this one, I just hated a few things about it. Namely all the extra little transformers running around like the RC car, te doctor, the Satellite thing's Cheeta type one, etc etc. To me if felt like they were trying to sell some new toys by including all of them and it was distracting fro mthe main robots. I would add the twins to this list, but they were hilarious and a decent comic relief to the otherwise tough spots. I also flat out HATED the human/girl/transformer thing and really wish they had found a more creative way to introduce that conflict between the main characters. Yes, the actress was SMOKING hot, but it doesn't excuse how retarded that entire mechanism was within the plot.

I felt like all the extra little characters and stuff really diluted the action and information coming from the important characters, and as a result they were unnecessary. I had the same complaint with the newest three Star Wars movies, they all had so much different stuff in them that it seemed an obvious ploy to sell toys and paraphenalia as opposed to create a more solid movie.

I found the actions scenes to be well done though, and they did a great job of making Optimus a total badass. I wasn't too happy with how they minimized the involvement of the other autobots though. I liked their characters in the last one but this time they really felt completely like extras as opposed to supporting characters.

I give it a 3 out of 5, but not more than that.
