Default Troll Hunter

From the land far to the north, Norway, comes an interesting little film. Shot as a real "student documentary" and shown to you from lost DVD mysteriously appearing now... it shows the daily activities of a strange underfunded government employee: Troll Hunter.

Yes... Trolls are real and this film gives you a look at their world. The Norweigan government has a dedicated Troll Hunter to keep us all safe...and you thought it was just attacks by large brown bears... Deep in the forest are actual Trolls, and you will learn as you go the Troll mythology in case you were not up to speed on them.

So, nobody you have ever seen is in it, well cast....too much active camera action (ala Blair Witch ), lots of excellent CGI (ala Cloverfield), an almost silly black comedy plot(really no laughs just a chuckle now and then at the irony, Norwegian Irony mind you), an interesting premis, subtitled, well done but perhaps due to its' scandanavian heritage a tad slow moving at times. Troll action rules of engagement. About 5 words of English. Dead brown bears. A real Troll cave. Shot entirely in Norwegian forests and mostly at night. Special weapons Land Rover.

I give this a 6 outta 10 and am glad I saw it.
