Default The Watchmen

The worst movie I have seen in months. I am in the Navy and am forced to watch horrible movies over and over while underway. But this one takes the cake. In addition to the confusing story line, and ridiculous plot, the 25 plus scenes that include a blue glowing penis doesnt really help. There is two scenes that include a pasty white chic's boobs and that is about covers the highlights. Aside from the brief female nudity, the gore and fight scenes struggle to compete with the dull dialogue and filler in between these previously mentioned scenes of action.

IMHO, wait until a stupid friend buys the movie on DVD and then dont watch it.

Yeah but how do really feel about the movie?

I was getting ready to go watch it in an hour but the more I read the reviews and comments I think I'll pass. For now anyway.

Most people go into the movie expecting something the movie isn't nor was ever meant to be. If you read the novel you would have known what you were going to see. Most people that complain never read the novel nor wanted to put any thought to the meanings behind what was going on in the world at the time the novel was written and the parallels about humanity.

I loved it as it was, a time piece and documentary of fictitious superheros. I took my father in law to see it and I told him not to expect an action movie but a skewed alternate reality. He enjoyed it.

P.S. Rorshach is the biggest bad ass in a while.

Why the blue guy couldn't put a god damn speedo on during the movie was beyond me, and it was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. The fight scenes and CGI were really cool, but overall the movie was just too drawn out IMO. I want my 3 hours back.

It wasn't paced too well imho. First hour was great, the rest of the film kind of lost the plot. Even though you guys hated the film, check out the comics. Incredible stuff.

i agree, i've been reading most reviews online, and most (not all of course), who didn't understand and didn't like the movie made it obvious that they had never read the graphic novel. I had heard this before i went to see the movie--that it was geared more towards those that have read the novel--having read the novel myself, i liked it. It wasn't a direct translation, of course, but screen shots were taken directly out of the comic book pages as well as many lines of dialogue unchanged. It was most definitely geared towards someone who has read the novel. Most others wouldn't appreciate it as much. I wish other superhero movies would stay as true to the originals as this!

You guys are scaring me. I've never read the novel but this girl I'm seeing really really wants to see it. It would suck to pay for my ticket, her ticket, popcorn and drinks to see a movie I don't get. I might have to go to the bookstore t0m0 and glance through it.
