You have probably seen previews for this movie. Some struggling folk singer dude in England kind of wakes up and finds nobody remembers the Beatles. So he records all their songs and and becomes a star.

I know what your saying, "But John, this looks like one of those romantic comedies that really does not have any jokes." You'd be right on that one. It is not really funny. "But I am not a fan of the Beatles." Neither am I.

So now you look at the Netflix review and it gets a pretty solid four out of five star rating from a ton of viewers and wonder what is up with that.

Is it great? No, but it is well done, you will enjoy the music whether you are a Beatles fan or not, you will say "That was cute" at the end and feel like you watched a perfectly decent movie when it is over, especially when it is hard to find anything these days that is not complete crap. You will also wonder why you don't have a couple of those Beatles tunes in your music library.

Want something light but still enjoyable you and your lady friend can enjoy? Try this one out. I did not love it, but I think it is a movie just about anybody would enjoy. If you are a fan of the Beatles you will probably love it.

 

Yup. I saw it at the theatre and enjoyed the night out.
