Default 2 Die in S2000 Accident near Dragon

Hi guys, myself and a friend were driving the Dragon this weekend 12/12/04 and came upon a pretty gruesome wreck on highway 28 near the Fontana Dam around 2PM. When we initially passed there were quite a few emergency vehicles, but there didn't seem to be much rush to work on the car wrapped around a tree near the road....typically a bad sign being that I work in emergency medicine. We passed by just getting a slight glimpse of the car.

Later that day around 5PM we were cooling off at the motorcycle resort when the car was being trailered away. It was a silver (maybe dark silver) S2000. I didn't get a photo, but the passenger's side was completely crushed at the impact site, and I'm not sure the person sitting in the diver's site could have survived either.

Does anyone know who this could be? I'd like to think this person survived, but I fear the worst.

Nothing on any of the area forums, Killboy, or dragaknee.

At least it wasn't a red S... Jason, any word?

Wow, it guess that confirms my suspicion.

It looks like he was carrying a lot of speed and got light on the downhill. Here is a photo of the area where it happened. The cop car is right at the site where the skidmarks started.

Only thing to-date on TOTD.com is the following:

I would never wish such a thing on anyone, but I really hope it wasn't someone on these boards.
