crossing the yellow lines
I'm going to take my tags off.... wear a disguise..... change the color of my car in case I touch the yellow line!
I remember (man I'm old!) my first Dragon event.... tried to follow "Mack".... only way I could stay anyway close was to cut some corners (only where I could see ahead, not that that matters).....
He had a nice talk to me afterwards about crossing the yellow line... said if you needed to.... you were going to fast for your abilities....
So..... now I go 10 mph the entire Dragon to make sure I don't cross the line anymore!!!
See everyone on the Dragon in a few weeks!!!

I admit: I crossed the yellow lines my rookie run. I was going too fast for my abilities and cheated a little. I simply didn't know any better. A veteran took me aside and kindly explained ot me the risks associated with crossing the yellows. I learned my lesson, and have changed my ways.
The reason I opened up this thread was not to point out the asshats, but to kindly let the rookies know how important this rule is. If we can all follow this one simple rule it will make for a safe & enjoyable weekend.

Why do I have the urge to kick someone in the nuts right now.......
We all screw up, but learn from it and don't over drive your limits. I know there are certain people that drive faster than me on the Dragon, I don't get into a pissing contest when it comes to that, I'd rather drive a little slower and not risk messing the car up. Remember this isn't a race or an auto-x, if you spin you lose more than just your pride, it isn't worth the risk. This isn't a place to let ego's get inflated.
