Driving the Dragon in the Rain
Ran through the dragon yesterday in the rain. Done it before a lot, but it made me think about this thread.
It's really not that bad. You just have to be a lot more smooth with every input and really feel what the car is telling you. I ran it on sumitomo HTRZ III which are pretty decent in the rain and I never lost traction.
Sometimes I enjoy driving it in the rain more than I do at night. At night and in the rain is the best though. Call me crazy if you want.
Sure the limits are a lot lower, but there is something to be proud of when finish a wet run unscathed.

Some of my favorite runs on the Dragon have been in the rain/wet. It guarantees you'll have more free space to drive hard. I've never been on S02's or any of the other notorious rain tires though - Falken Azenis or Bridgestone RE-050PP's.
But as aCab said - "At night and in the rain is the best though."
I guess there's just something about having the risk factor that much higher. Love it!!!
Best ever was going down there in the fall a few years ago to meet some friends. When we came in that Friday night, it was raining and the road was covered in wet leaves. Now THAT was a drive to remember!
