Default Fontana Village

Hi all,
I'm John from Fontana Village Resort. I'm here to solicit comments from all of you regarding your stay at the Village.

Please be candid as possible. If we don't know what is wrong, we can't fix it.

I hope that everyone noticed the improvements we have made. We intend to continue on the same path in order to make Fontana a premier destination for each and every one of you at any time of year.

Please keep in mind that we are in transition at this time and by the next time you see us, everything will be....actually everything you would expect from a first class resort..

I look forward to hearing from all of you..

Thank you for coming!

John Bunch,
Fontana Village Resort.

I told John that I thought it would be a good idea for him to post here.

John has a lot of enthusiasm for our event and genuinely wants to improve the Village for us. They are at the beginning of a five year improvement plan and we caught them right at the beginning.

So, let

I loved the place! We had a Magnolia; it was great, more than we expected. The view alone was amazing, I was very impressed. I look forward to staying again!

Little things that would have made everything perfect (albeit nit picky)

-A roll of paper towels
-Little shampoo bottles (we found ourselves without)
-Extra trashbag or two

(believe it or not, we are clean )

First I would like to say that Fontana is a great destination. The staff I encountered were courteous. The scenery and proximity to the Dragon are both perfect IMO. Overall I was happy with my stay.

Our cabin was great with a minor exception: we didn't have a phone. It was a slight inconvenience because that meant we couldn't locate friends in that way, but more concerning to me was that we had no immediate way to call for help in an emergency (ex. fire).

My only other disappointment was that we requested an iron just after lunch but never received it. There could be any number of explanations for this and in the end it really wasn't a big deal.

I stayed in the inn and I don't have any complaints! One suggestion as I saw you guys are rebuilding the gas station there is to get new pumps that are capable of displaying the full price per gallon...

I found myself talking to Craig as I filled up one morning, I'll be sending him some of my video footage I took this weekend here pretty soon

Hey John:

My daughter and I stayed in one of the small 2 bedroom cabins. We got in late Friday and realized we had no hot water at all. That was disheartening, but when I told the front desk of the problem the next morning, the maintenance folks took care of it. It would have also been nice to have a TV and/or telephone in the cabin (couldn't even call the front desk about the problem). Other than that, no complaints. Thanks very much for following up with us.

I liked Fontana. We had a one bedroom cabin. My only complaint would be that we had no telephone. It normally wouldn't be a problem but the cell phones didn't work and I have a 2 year old that we like to check up on.

i had a great stay. i agree with everything everyone has said, especially the phone. i also didn't think the restaurant was ready to handle the heavy load at night from our group. since you were really the only restaurant around for people to chill at i don't think they were ready to serve food for so long. on friday night i was psyched to get some good food looking at the menu while i was waiting, but when we were finally seated it sounded like the kitchen didn't have much prepared at the time so we had to settle with cheeseburgers yes they were good but i wish i could have had somethng better.

the phone would be the biggest thing to fix so people can get ahold of others

thanks for checking in, look forward to chillin down there again
