Default Gas prices

Why are they going up again? I took economics in school. Demand is down significantly and there is plenty of supply despite what the TV is saying.

I hope we don't $3+ per gallon of gas again when the Dragon comes

Fingers are crossed. I spent a LOT on gas last year by making a 3k mile trip in 10 days!

I don't think it will be too bad, Mike (fingers crossed too). Seems that diesel has been coming down. That may have something to do with the gasoline pricing. Anyone know when summer gas mixes show up? Seems my fuel economy has bumped up lately but it may just be the warmer weather.

It has nothing to do with me getting a cut of the profits...

may have something to do with a lot of refineries cutting back b/c of turnarounds, outages, profitability issues, etc. i've heard rumors of a number of refineries stopping product b/c they can't buy, make, and sell it for less than the going price.

also, low sulfur diesel has been quite profitable (so i hear), and a lot of crude production has been diverted to it versus motor gasoline.

at this point, i doubt $3/gal pricing by the summer. but who knows.... ?
