Ideas for DBR 2008
How about go pay someone to design an event shirt/logo instead of allowing that idiot at the print shop to do the design with googled images & MS Paint again.
I saw the last 2 event shirts from pictures. They were aweful and I would have been ashamed to charge anyone for them. No wonder they weren't unveiled until registration.

Perhaps we could get a whiteboard for the beer swap? Everyone could put down what beer they brought and where it's from - then just have a couple large tubs of ice for people to put their beer in. Anyone who wants a beer can walk over and grab whichever they choose... Might help mix it up, instead of people feeling like they had to "force" their beer on someone else...
As for the contest, maybe something like - all the cars on the field are entered. Put a printed number in the welcome packet. Everyone who wants to participate can put the numbered sheet in the windshield. Votes cost $1. The proceeds go to charity. Winner gets nothing more than recognition and a certificate at the dinner Sat night. Idea would be to make the contest more about donating to charity than about who wins/loses... Don't trumpet it up as a contest, so much as an ability for people to donate to a local charity.
A sat lunch meet would probably not work out too well. Sat drives would be severely limited in length... Perhaps a photo shoot immediately proceeding the Sat morning roll out? Or at the dinner Sat night?

I've had a tough time finding a bat holder... I remember seeing them a few years ago...but I'm unable to find anything, even with the internet. I want one of those vertical bat holders. Hey parkerdt, how do you have yours?? Any pics?
