[QUOTE=killboy,Apr 23 2007, 08:22 PM] Just be careful when showing off for the camera...we really don't want to shoot wrecks.

I don't mind folks posting the proofs.

I don't mind folks posting the proofs. I'd turn off the right-click disable if I could, but it's built-in to the store. You have to do a print-screen and paste it into your favorite image editor.
U guys are brave men, have you ever had a close call or been hit?

Not really even any close calls. We try to situate ourselves in the areas where people crash the least, but most of the time it IS on the outside of a turn, and people aren't always predictable.

It'll happen one day...hopefully we can move quick enough to dodge 'em.

I've had enough close calls on the road for 2 lifetimes. Couple semis, a bear, some lousy drivers...

DC!

I see you caught the Nissan Tuarano that pulled over to let me by; I thought they were going to collect either you or me when they swerved back onto the road

Man that was crazy! For those that are interested in the story here, an SUV pulled over to let SR and another S go by on a long, blind left-hander. (picnic tables) Just as the SUV got completely off the road, and SR started to go by, the SUV starts pulling back out into the road! I was like WTF, over!? SR stayed his course though and I don't think he ever crossed the center line, even though there was no oncoming traffic. The SUV finally decides to ease back over and let them by safely, but it was a scurry moment for sure.

It's nice that everyone is so forgiving here ,but I, myself am not.

There is no law anywhere in the USA that gives anyone of these guys the right to cross any doulble yellow anywhere. Not here ,not NC,NYC ,KC or DC.

As far as I am concerned it was YOUR responsibilty to be at the Saturday morning driver meeting.

It's not a freakin race or a time attack, your not going to get a prize or money for being the fastest.

If I seem pissed I am,...am I perfect hell no,but these pics tell the story of pure stupidity and if I were in the other lane at full song when one of poor unknowing offenders put half there car in my lane they'd be doing more that pulling sheetmetal out of their ass.

I'll be down in the fall......God help you if you pull this BS in front of me
Reason #1 why I skipped my first WTD in 4 years. Did not want the front end of my NSX shoved in my face by one of these retards.

I'll drive with you anytime Popeye.

Are you one of those guys that are going to show up with a weapon????

If you really feel that strong about it, you probably shouldn't show up.

Most of these people are not doing it intentionally. They need to be shown the right way and given direction. We are respected at the Dragon because we give respect to others.

We have seen people step up to their mistakes and they won't be doing it again.

And speaking about laws-Aren't we all breaking the law? We are speeding 100% of the time on the Dragon. This isn't a race track, but many of us treat it that way. We are supposed to have fun and pushing it is having fun to a point.

The fact is, it's still a public road. I have seen locals crossing lanes and forcing cars off the road. That's just wrong and I'm sure they know the rules. There is just no excuse for that type of behavior.

So the guy in front of you is a lot slower than you. He is spoiling your run. He doesn't pull over (he doesn't need to by law, he's doing the speed limit). Do you take out your frustrations on him? It's all about RESPECT! Take a different approach. Give it and get it in return!
