Before the event all one thinks about is the Dragon, not many miles, tons of turns, blah, blah, blah. Once you get down there and you run the Dragon a couple of times you realize there is so much more to the event than just the "Dragon". The Dragon is the focal point that attracts us there, but it is a superb meeting spot to enjoy other things. To be honest I kind of got tired of hitting 90 degree and 180 degree turns after doing it a few times ( but we also drove the Snake and the Back of the Dragon before we hit Fontana).

Hitting Hwy. 28, Cherohala Skyway, Blue Ridge Parkway, Smokey Mountain National Park, the "Dam" etc. , was amazing for me. Being at the Village with all of the "Screen names" that I never met in person was the best part of the event. The banquet, the roll-out, washing my car at 10 pm with a line-up of others around me, lots of little things like that. So I loved the entire event. It was a bit rushed for me since we had to cram a lot of stuff into basically two days, but well worth it and I enjoyed every part of it.
