Just understand that the FRS/GMRS radios do not transmit at full power when using the FRS channels only when using the GMRS channels.
Just so we define what a GMRS radio is:
1. Any radio that has 22 channels is actually a GMRS radio and requires a license.
2. Any radio labeled FRS/GMRS is actually a GMRS radio and requires a license.

SOME adjust their power on channels 8-14. If you are using a GMRS radio on channels 1-7 and don't have a license, you are operating your radio illegally.

according to the link thrown up there, even the combo GMRS/FRS radios are illegal w/o a license... and the combo units will often transmit as GMRS radios on FRS frequencies....
well, if we're going to worry about that...
-i guess we should obey all posted speed limits and traffic rules as well...
-and we'd better all make sure none of us are below treadwear bars
-we'd better get rid of all our cleared headlights and put the legally required amber reflectors back in
-we'd better get a sound meter to insure no exhausts or stereos exceed legal limits...
-we'll have to make sure all intakes and exhausts are emissions approved
or, we could just
and have a good time.
