Tail of the Dragon question

I am driving the Dragon tomorrow. From what I have seen online at tailofthedragon.com and dealsgap.com, I have not found the "starting point". Does this road also go through TN? Can someone please tell me where the Dragon starts and stops? Thank you for your help!

Where are you coming from? The 'start' and 'finish' of the Tail of the Dragon are the former gravel pit (now paved) and Deals Gap motorcycle resort.

Deals gap is located at the intersection of NC 28 and US 129 in North Carolina.

WOW...Do I ever remember those days....

Now that it is paved...( and nice ) You don't have to negotiate how to come out of the "Pit"....( pull-off)...or "Gravel Lot" as it was formerly known.....
