Thank You All
Many thanks to all who offered to help me hook up my Gopro with the Ipad app. Bama Dave and Florian)
A special thanks to Ken who will never get back that 45 minutes he spent on the phone with me in what turned out to be an exercise in futility.
I have now resigned myself to the reality that I will never get this POS to work properly. At least have a back up plan. I can always go back to the old faithful Panasonic camcorder I have used for years.
See y'all next year at the dragon.

Not to fret....Lee....I agree with you 100% !!!! The remote for the GoPro....is without a doubt...an absolute POS !!!!!....and yes...they got me too !!! Not only is it a POS....I understand that it eats the battery up...way to fast...
Being the patient person that I am...I put up with the purchased POS....for long enough....
Therefore....easy come....and even easier....GO....as of a couple of weeks ago...mine is in numerous pieces, that occupy a small area on the ground, in the grass....at the base of the brick wall...that is the outside wall....of my garage....
You just can't imagine how good it felt...to smash the GoPro remote POS... against the wall

Denny,
Maybe if you glue it back together after your modifications via the "random impact method" it may work properly according to its original
design & intent.
GoPro questionaire: Would you recommend a GoPro to a friend?
I must say, they sure have cool TV ads.
Thanks for saving me the money...

I understand for issues with that remote. I have let many cell phones end up again a tree as hard as I can throw them. Sometimes I wonder if all the new technology is worth the headache it causes. I guess you either jump on the boat or watch that boat go by. Just my two cents on that. Later BD

Noted... I think Bama Dave's "camera on a stick" idea has real potential with a GoPro... being able to see the driver steering and shifting while watching the road has awesome possiblities. Placing a microphone on the backside of the car near the exhaust out of the wind flow for proper sound with the fisheye lense looking down on the driver and roadway would be great on the big screen...new projects...
