It's a great camera as everyone has said, it's just we unanimously agree the remote came out too soon (well, if you look at their product lifecycle- it came out at JUST the right time given the Hero3 was just about to launch and they needed to sell these complementary goods to the Hero2 before the launch of the 3 because the 3 rendered them obsolete). I have always been and always will be an inofficial salesrep for GoPro 
Noted... I think Bama Dave's "camera on a stick" idea has real potential with a GoPro... being able to see the driver steering and shifting while watching the road has awesome possiblities. Placing a microphone on the backside of the car near the exhaust out of the wind flow for proper sound with the fisheye lense looking down on the driver and roadway would be great on the big screen...new projects... 
Yea about that exhaust mount for the mic...
The exhaust has potential to blow your mic after continuous use, I wanna say Bama blew one of his that way. I still think the best spot for a mic is either in the engine bay or in the net on the passenger side.
