I will once again be organizing a Friday afternoon Poker Run at this years WTD event. I will be needing volunteers to man the stops. There will be five stops.

1. The Tail of the Dragon
2. The overlook at the the Santeelah Lake off Rt 129
3. One the Cherohola
4. One of the overlooks of Fontana Dam, off Rt 28.
5. Fifth card will be drawn at Top of the Dam.

So, volunteers post up, and if you have a preference of stops, let me know.

Hi Dave! Thanks for organizing this again; everyone really enjoyed it the past couple of years.

You can put Ron and I down to man the Tail of the Dragon stop again. Fun times!

 

This is a "mild" Poker Run. No stops at bars, no bonus for fastest time, and no breaking of traffic laws etc. This has been done the past two WTDs'. The first year we had 23/24 cars; the second we had 32? Something along those numbers. Registration is 5$ at the Ballfield on Friday, where rules and maps are recieved. Prizes for Best, 2nd Best and 3rd best and worst hand are handed out at Saturday nights banquet. More details will follow in the coming weeks.

This is NOT a fund raiser - it is anticipated that more $ will be spent on prizes, than is recieved, and I want to keep it that way. Basically, this is just a good time with great people. And I hope you were joking about people being arrested. None ever have been, and if anyone knows of a ordinance being violated, let me know now!

As promised when I won last year, I'm happy to be a volunteer this year. This is a really great event.


Just let me know what time to be there. I'll make sure Mocky gets there on time this year (provided we don't follow the "boats on parade", on the way in, again this year)

 

Rick, I think as reiging champion, you should participate.... but, having said that, I think that's awesome that you are letting someone else have the opportunity to win
