Rick, I think as reiging champion, you should participate.... but, having said that, I think that's awesome that you are letting someone else have the opportunity to win

first beer on me next time I see ya..
Generally, I never win anything, so I was really surprised I had so much luck last year. Pulling like 3 kings on my first 3 cards, is probably as close as I'd ever get to winning the lottery.

Considering how great the event was, I think its only right to "give back"

Will we still be doing this since 129 is closed? Just wondering... I think we still have some options on places to have checkpoints... but I wanted to follow-up

Yes! Poker Run is still on. Dave is working on an alternate route; details will be included in the event guide.

Yes the Poker Run is still on. I am dropping the trip through the Dragon, and am planning on adding at least one on the Cherahola. If you have any suggestions for other stops, I am all ears. And thank you Huskergirl for volunteering - you have been added to the list.

Parking lot at Deal's Gap? I know that they will still be open and we can make one stop be there in the back towards the rooms.

Another suggestion might be Fontana Dam... back by where we did the picnic a few years ago. Or at the bottom where you can loop back around. (photos of both locations attached).
