Monday afternoon at 4:30 for us...

 

my confirmation letter from fontana says check in is after 4pm. however in the past, i have arrived earlier than that and they let me check in because the room was ready

 

Nah, if they leave Marysville around 2:00 or 2:30, we should meet them at Foothills Pkwy/Rt 321 around 3:00-3:30...it's about an hour from there to Gatlinburg. We should be able to leave around 2:15 and have time. We'll do a sanity check on Wednesday though, just to make sure.

Has anyone driven Little River Rd (end of Lamar Alexander Pkwy/Old State Highway 73-Scenic Hwy) to Gatlinburg. That looks like a great road. Here is a link to what I'm talking about: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d...e=UTF8&t=h&z=11

 

Ken...... yes, have driven that road, parts of it are nice, but it carries a ton of traffic, and its rare that you can get a good drive in due to that traffic....

Fair amount of RV's, campers, etc on it.

 

Too bad, it looks great (but it is two lane...). Drat!
