On a serious note my brother is okay. Pretty bummed, but okay. He has a scratch or two from the airbags, but other than that he is no worse for wear. On the way home he just kept talking about how he couldn't believe it happened this morning of all days. Any other day this weekend he probably would have deserved it, but not today. We left Fontana with out cars packed to go home. We were doing a leisurely 40mph or so down hellbender trying not to throw the bags and stuff around too much. He was following right behind me... and then he wasn't. I turned around figuring he had run out of gas or something. I turned the corner and he was standing there with a totaled Mini. Unbelievable. The best we could figure, he hit some gravel in the hill/turn and lost control. He is very lucky that the car hit a tree, because he would have ended up in the lake 50 feet below had it not been there. The ticket is only $25, which is nothing compared to the shame of it all.... and his new insurance rates.

I'm just glad he is okay. Thanks to everyone who bothered to stop and check on him. Unfortunately we were about 200 miles away before we realized that we forgot to hang a piece of the Mini on the "tree of shame".

Anyway, we made it home to New Orleans at around 9:15pm, which is fantastic considering the Officer Douchebag didn't let us loose until almost 2:00pm. The Evo is safe in the driveway!
Glad to hear you are both ok and home already but very sorry the Mini was lost.

Night drive was epic! I have a great video of it I'll be putting up later. (priority) Now off to shower and bed!
I think it might have been all those redbulls, not your suspenshuns.

My arms just above my elbows are burned on the inside from how I was holding the wheel during the drive home.

I made it back safely around 6:45 pm CST on Sunday. Coincidentally, I arrived back at my apartment complex as the exact same time a local member (who wanted to go on the Dragon, but couldn't due to a NASA time trials event) was returning from the track. We ended up grabbing a bite so he could hear all about my experiences from the weekend.
