Just installed the Carbon CAI from MG Racing, it fits perfect.

First impressions : different sound, you hear the car suck air, faster accelarations (bud dyno), lighter because you can remove the stock filter and the entire plastic box.

Nice piece of art. I will probably get the CAI from Spoon before end of the month (hopefully !!). Would be interesting to dyno the 2 cars.

 

Pancho, I was also wondering if this is really the best option to place the air intake. It certainly preserves the intake from bugs and stones but I am somewhat concerned about its efficiency against water inflow. Moreover compared to the Mugen or Spoon system the air inflow should be less and hotter. What do you think about it?

But when you will see the CAI live on saturday you'll see that it can get a lot of cold air.

It looks great but is it not very expansive for a little power increase?I would be very happy to hear the noise and see the
dyno sheet ...
But it would be good too to hear the Spoon intake of Viktor and see the dyno sheet...
Please let me know when you 'll go on a dyno and where.
I have installed the BMC airbox 4 weeks ago and the dual
HKS exhaust (cat 'll be back in july).
I paid it 16000 bf and 46000 bf without tax.
Sound is good but i don't feel any power increase.

Hey, welcome on board Michael. I should get the Spoon CAI beginning of July. As soon as I get it we will dyno the 2 cars and keep you informed.

Just bad that you can not be in Zandvoort with us. See you probably in Herstal in September then.

Hi bel-s2k, no you are not missing anything. There is a big tuning event in Herstal in September and Michael will be present. As my wife is from Liege I will probably join him there. But if anybody is interested you are all welcome to meet up there.
