has anybody done it?
I don't use them anyway, so I was wondering what it would take to have them removed.
There MUST be some holes underneath, so..

No, I haven't done it. I agree they are ugly and not very useful but they don't bug me that much that I want them removed.

P.S How many times have you washed the exterior of your car, start on the interior, accidentally put your elbow on the headlamp washer button........ and can then start to dry off the whole front of the car again! Now, that does piss me off!

The washers are an eyesore in anything but a black car. If I had any other colour I would either remove them or replace them with a less bulky version. Both should be easily doable by a good body shop.

I have had the bumper off, and the holes are not that big, so filling them up and respraying the bumper is no major task.

Beware however that removing the washers maybe illegal!

Those washers are sure ugly... But, they have to be mounted on official EU cars that have HID lights because of excess glare when the lens gets dirty! You might run into problems with the annual mandatory inspections!!

Does anybody know what the physical difference is between the US and European HID lights? I am referring specifically to the different light patterns. (US is a flat line, EU has a flat line that tilts up in the middle outward to the side of the road...) Is there just a different Xenon bulb in them (with different connector???) or is there some piece of hardware difference that results in the special European "dipped beam" aka "passing beam"?

I am asking this because I have bought a US car and am taking it with me to the Netherlands in Oktober of this year. I like 'our' dipped beams better than the flat US pattern...

Any info is welcome!!
