Default Headlight Washer Jet removal help

Quick question, how do you remove the headlight washer jet assembly from the bumper, do they just pull out or do I have to remove the bumper first to get at them.

Got to remove the bumper - it is pretty straight forwards.

As stated above its very straight forward, took me about 30mins to remove my bumper the first time. The washers are held in place by two metal retainers.

You do not need to remove the bumper, if you can raise the front a bit you can get at them from underneath. Remove the undertrays and then reach up, couple of clips on the hoses and the jet assembly themselves. IIRC

I did it this way when getting mine colour coded.

Why are they coming off Andy? Its a circlip on each hose that attaches to the washer jets so 4 in total. By the time you take the under tray out its only 2 screws and 2 bolts to take the entire bumper off, which will make life a lot easier for you

Semi related question this. Is it legal in the UK to run without these headlight washers? Bumper would look so much nicer filled and sprayed over. As a non S2000 owner (hopefully that will change soon) I'm not sure if a 2004/05 has xenons wich I know the washers are a legal requirement.

Techically no but many of us including me have had them removed. Depends on the MOT tester but I dont think there will be many that will check for them.
