Well, it finally happened to me ...

I've got a speeding ticket.

It happened when returning from the Francorchamps days on the E313 going from Hasselt to Antwerp.

I was 'flashed' at 197 km/h

I hope I get to keep my drivers' license...

Maybe I should buy myself a diesel ?

I'm really sorry to hear about this. But were you driving at 197km/h with the rainy weather we had during the whole weekend?

I am not an idiot ! I'm always very carfull in wet weather !
When returning from Liege, it became dry and sunny ...
It was on a dry highway with moderate traffic.

I was driving like 160 all the time (to be on the safe side) and had just once or times a 'peak' ... it was not my day and I was caught during such a 'peak'.

I always think this is going to happen to me one time, however careful I am (careful = keeping very concentrated and looking as far as possible in the distance to spot the hidden "gendarmerie" car ), and I know that when it will happen I'll probably sell my S2000 and get a slow '79 caprice classic, with hydraulics and tinted windows, and just cruise around in style

Tip : you can go to Germany in highway. AYK, there is no limit -> no flash AKA The paradise !!!

 

Ha no flash in Germany, get a life ! I got flashed three times but only received one ticket, that was for 181 at a 120 limit. That costed me 136DM, so I was lauging all the way to the post office !

But apparently, the tickets over there have been raised a lot since then (1999).

Le Car : I already had a ticket with my S2K near Nivelles (Nijvel) and they tracked my till Luxemburg... Yes, they are catching....at least trying...
